PM Modi Appreciates Public Feedback on Proposed Anti-Paper Leak Law, Says Bill to Be Introduced Next Week

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked citizens, particularly young people, for their overwhelming response and constructive suggestions following his announcement of a proposed law to tackle examination paper leaks.

In a video message shared on social media, the Prime Minister said the government remains committed to ensuring a transparent and fair examination system. He also confirmed that a new Bill providing stricter action against paper leak offences will be introduced during the ongoing session of Parliament next week.

Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude for the large number of responses received after he announced the government’s plans to strengthen laws against paper leaks.

He said the suggestions shared by students and young citizens reflected their commitment to protecting the integrity of India’s examination system.

According to the Prime Minister, public participation plays an important role in shaping policies that directly affect students and aspiring professionals.

The Prime Minister stated that the draft Bill, which proposes stronger legal action against those involved in examination paper leaks, has already received approval from the Union Cabinet.

The proposed legislation is expected to include provisions aimed at:

  • Strengthening action against paper leak offences.
  • Enhancing accountability.
  • Improving the integrity of competitive examinations.
  • Protecting the interests of students.

The Bill is scheduled to be introduced during the current session of Parliament.

The proposed reforms are part of the government’s broader efforts to strengthen the examination system.

The initiative follows concerns raised over paper leak incidents affecting competitive examinations, with the objective of improving transparency and maintaining public confidence in recruitment and educational assessments.

The government has stated that stronger legal provisions are intended to deter malpractice and ensure fair opportunities for candidates.

The Prime Minister’s video announcing the proposed reforms attracted significant engagement on social media.

According to information shared by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Instagram reel crossed 303 million views, reportedly setting a new record for the highest number of views on a reel within 24 hours, surpassing the previous record of 300 million views.

The video generated widespread public discussion, particularly among students and young people.
