Rajendra Shukla Criticises Opposition After PM Modi’s Address…

BHOPAL, MADHYA PRADESH — Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla criticised opposition parties following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation, accusing them of blocking decisions aimed at benefiting women.

Speaking in Bhopal, Shukla said that there was visible pain in the Prime Minister’s words and expressions, as important decisions supporting women were stalled in Parliament. He alleged that parties like Congress and the Trinamool Congress opposed measures that were meant to empower women across the country.

He stated that while political parties are free to oppose the BJP, opposing policies that support women reflects a negative mindset. According to him, such actions show that the opposition is prioritising politics over social progress.

Shukla also targeted the Congress leadership, saying that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the party has become directionless. He added that by opposing initiatives that aim to strengthen society and the nation, the Congress is exposing its approach before the public.

He further claimed that issues related to women’s empowerment should rise above politics, and that blocking such measures harms the larger goal of inclusive development. He suggested that the opposition’s stance could impact how people view their commitment to social issues.

The Deputy Chief Minister’s remarks come amid an ongoing political debate over women’s reservation and recent parliamentary developments, with both the ruling party and opposition blaming each other.

Rajendra Shukla’s statement reflects the BJP’s position that opposition parties are hindering progress on women-centric policies, while political tensions continue over the issue.
